The Silent Puppy
Starting from the concept of the spiral of silence I learned
in the undergraduate class of Communication, I designed a pop-up book that
described the process of the spiral of silence and encouraged everyone to break
the spiral of silence, then expressed themselves bravely even under pressure.
Compromise under pressure is a weakness that people all have but do not want to
admit. Therefore, the character I designed for this pop-up book is a human-like
puppy, as an effort to use others to define the story of human society. In this
book, I tried a variety of three-dimensional methods combined with laser
materials. In terms of binding, I used the butterfly-fold binding method.
